GroundMasters is a full-service snow and landscaping management company headquartered in Wisconsin. With over 40 years of experience, we service over 7,000 Commercial, Medical, Industrial, Financial and Retail facilities across the Continental Unites States.
Our first priority on every job is to ensure we have a clear understanding of our customer's needs and expectations, for both the summer and winter seasons. To accomplish this, our teams will spend the necessary time learning your site’s specific needs to make certain that we deliver consistent and quality service all year round. GroundMasters' History
2006
Winter Services was formed as a snow management only company.
Joining three separate companies into one; running operations out of Milwaukee, WI.
2009
Winter Services expands into Kenosha and Racine, WI.
2010
Introduced our regional model to expand our service area across Wisconsin.
Winter Services’ customers wanted to expand their partnership with Winter Services to their other facilities across the state of Wisconsin; resulting in the introduction of our Regional Model. This complimentary model allowed us to selectively partner and thereby provide the same great services throughout the state. We have added hundreds of partners to our network to facilitate our customer’s desire for vendor consolidation and consistent, quality services!
2013
Regional Services Grows Across the Midwest.
The Regional Model continued to enhance our customer-centric focus as a one-stop shop for our customers.
2017
Established physical location in Madison, Wisconsin to expand service footprint.
Winter Services added an additional branch in Madison, WI. To continue meeting the needs of our customers, Madison was identified as a prime location to establish a servicing center with full snow removal capabilities.
2018
Great Lakes Salt Company launched.
Great Lakes Salt Company launched as its own entity to ensure all our local divisions and our partner network across the country have the raw materials they needed to provide the results our customers have come to expect! GLSC can source salt domestically or import from across the globe to ensure we don’t run out when you need us most!
2020 - 2024
Acquired several best-in-class companies to expand footprint nationwide.
Adding brick & mortar local branches to Chicago, Detroit, Toledo, Cedar Rapids, and Denver. 18 total local servicing facilities in 6 states.
2025
GroundMasters!
The next evolution of Winter Services is the launch of GroundMasters. We needed a brand that matched our growing suite of services. As our customers have asked, we have answered their calls to bring our industry-leading quality and service to their other outdoor servicing needs. Through those partnerships, we have become GroundMasters!!
Our Team
We are a seasoned team of lawn care specialists, designers, irrigation technicians and snow removal experts who are passionate about working outdoors and serving our clients with the utmost attention to service and detail. Our highest priorities are to deliver quality workmanship, industry-leading safety, efficient execution, and environmental stewardship.
